We’re seeing an increase in reports of kidney failure and kidney disease from anabolic steroid use, a condition I’ve seen in my practice. This video starts with a discussion of what I’ve seen and a research paper on Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis after Anabolic Steroid Abuse. ( It also includes my interview with Joe Ladnier, a powerlifter who speaks openly about his experience with FSGS from steroid use. If you use or have used steroids, please be aware of the risk to your kidneys and see a physician regularly to screen for it.
